🪸 About Me

I'm Juana, an Argentinian writer and language teacher based in the UK. Over the last fifteen years, I have delivered hundreds of fun and engaging lessons for students of all levels, from beginners who are learning Spanish for the first time to proficient speakers seeking to improve their fluency. I am passionate about languages and the way they shape people’s lived experiences, and like my lessons to be centred around the use of Spanish as a means of personal expression.

Our lessons at El Camino (The Journey) have one simple goal in mind: helping you master the language at your own pace. Learning a language is a lifelong journey, and we believe you can’t rush it. That is why we make sure we take it one step at a time, making every lesson valuable and worthy of your time, so you can get to a place where you can communicate fluently and confidently.

• We will start by assessing where you are in your journey, where you want to get and what is the best way to get you there. Are you a beginner who likes clear explanations? We’ll start by covering the basics using theoretical material. Are you an experienced learner who needs to work on fluency? Then our lessons will revolve around conversation. Your journey will be unique and tailored to your specific goals.
• We will be constantly assessing your progress to build on your confidence and pivot if necessary. If something is not working, or we come to realise you need a different approach, we will make sure this is addressed as soon as possible, so you make the most of every lesson you get.
• We will work around your routine, to make your Spanish journey fit your life, instead of adding an extra responsibility to an already crammed schedule.
• We will focus on you gaining meaningful understanding of the Spanish language system, so you can communicate your thoughts clearly and express yourself with purpose.
• We will make a conscious effort to move at your own steady pace, giving you ample opportunities to put everything you learn into practice and ensuring every topic is properly understood before introducing new concepts.
